Open Colony was founded in 2006 by Caitlin Pulleyblank, a serial entrepreneur who has dedicated her career to helping innovative people increase their impact in alignment with their values and futuristic best practices in the world of work. She’s both the heart and brain of Open Colony—responsible for setting our vision and ensuring the right fit for every engagement through a unique double-sided assessment model she pioneered.
Her own professional journey began as an intern in the early days of Wired Magazine, where she was given the opportunity to run New Business after successfully organizing a company-wide rafting trip. She observed back then how Wired's business model, product and culture were impacted by its elevation of Design to the same level of importance as Editorial—not to mention the catalyzing influence of Technology—and how different job functions were siloed. (For example, engineers didn’t know how to talk to designers and vice versa, which made them less effective than they could have been.) Throughout her career, her work has been rooted in solving that problem.
Caitlin’s executive team consists of a small group of Colony advisors who are passionate about Open Colony’s mission to build the future of work through curated advisory services.
Open Colony is based in San Francisco and available worldwide.
